Tunnel Vision

Tunnel_Vision
_ I have been working on lead lines and vanishing points and came across a great opportunity using the Trav-O-lator in Bank station. I love the reflection of the adverts on the steel to give it a tunnel vision. Please comment on the pic.

The Essence of Complex Simplicity

It has taken me a while but I have finally pulled my finger out and created my blog site. Thank you for your patience blognation. For my first post I am going to go against the grain of a photographer's blog and post no pictures. Rather I want to serve to you a non-visual trailer to this blog in order to get your imagination running and to try and help guide you through my thoughts behind my pictures.

My blog is known as  Complex_Simplicity for two reasons. Firstly I believe that beauty can be found in both the complexities and simplicities of life. The complex interactions between different forms of living beings and ornate objects can throw up a multitude of results. A good photographer needs to be ready to capture the moment when all the elements of that moment in time is perfectly aligned. The challenge of trying to capture that moment excites me because it is impossible to ever recapture that moment again. Contrast to that is the beauty and abstractness of stillness. Finding that moment of peace and solitude in a hectic world is another rare pleasure that i endeavour to capture. So I look out for moments of solitude in my pictures, where the subject is in its own world even when it is surrounded by business.

The second reason for this name is that as a Christian I believe that God is a creative God and as such I try to look for beauty in the most unusual places. Beauty can be found within an 'ugly' setting when the perspective is changed or when a story is found within that setting but one has to be open to finding that new perspective.

Finally I am a city dweller, with London being my home city. This great city has given me the perfect canvas to paint on, especially as I have a love for for urban landscapes and people, and how they interact with each other. So with that said I hope you enjoy my photography and are able to experience the essence of Complex_Simplicity in them.
